And this is the problem with Android, even truly excellent budget phones like the G6 will get one major OS update and what like a year of security updates? So you pay less for the phone but have to upgrade it a year later if you want the newest software. Unless of course you root and run custom ROMs but that comes with a whole different set of issues.

Seriously, Moto became as shitty as all others since they got sold to Lenovo. Still on my G4 which was first said to receive Oreo but then they dismissed it.

I just want an Android for 200 - 350€ which receives upgrades for 2+ years. They should just leave it vanilla and publish shortly after the google releases.

But I guess I will have to switch to Lineage to save some money.
