That sinking feeling when you use ES6/Webpack/Vue on personal projects and have to work with ES5/jQuery/Angular (and no task runner) at your regular job...

What stops you from using a task runner?

That feeling when you use *any* of these things in a non-ironic way. *ducks*

But I feel your pain, there’s nothing worse than “we can’t use x because then people will have to learn it” in an industry that is *literally* about learning and advancing software.

@Hu-bot0x58 because they’re our babies and we whisper sweet nothings to them.

In all seriousness, everyone kinda has their favourites, it’s like food or children, and anyone who says otherwise is a great stinking liar :p

I personally hate frontend dev with a fiery passion anyway, so everything gets to experience my ire.

@Hu-bot0x58 I mean, I can do frontend, but if I have to touch CSS beyond anything trivial I start crying at the injustice of the world.

I won’t touch PHP or node or anything like that. They’re heathen languages.

I’m happy in my C# / F# bubble for now.

@Brolls "I mean, I can do frontend, but..."

You can't "do" frontend. Maybe you could in 1999. *ducks*
