@Cruiser it was intended as a joke, but git also help you identify the issue easier

Perhaps be a little less precious? I'm assuming you work in a team... There must be some explanation of the change somewhere - bug, commit message, something. Otherwise, rather than fuming about it, go and ask whoever changed it. I suspect there's a reasonable explanation. And we don't always write perfect code.
