Everybody is talking about react, angular, Vue etc, and here I am, fixing ie7-8 website compatibility for a financial-bank institution.

    Get out of that business. I started a job couple years ago. The boss gave me spaghetti, Visual Basic code.

    Left the company 1 week later.

    That is awful. Not only from a maintenance perspective, but a security perspective. Someone in a banking institution is still running XP. Terrifying

    Get out! I did that for a year ... Developed a react app with a heavy base on html5 canvas but with backwards support to ie8 .... Almost killed my soul in there...

    Hang in there, buddy. My new company has a policy where we don’t support anything that is no longer supported by Microsoft. It’s so refreshing. Have you flagged security concerns to your client’s risk people?
