    Scary stuff but some software claims to be able to remove it.

    @nblackburn Yeah, in theory that's possible, but nit even the major antimalware companies can remove it.

    In theory You could get rid of it by reinstalling the firmware, then wiping the hidden registries of the disk where it clones itself, but as of now I don't know of anyone who's successfully done that

    @jlaneve in a nutshell, it's the most sophisticated price of malware ever. It writes itself to the firmware on a hard rive or other PC component and then clones itself onto hidden registries on the hard drive which can't be cleared by wiping it. But it is much much more complex than this, that's why I said look it up 🤓
