I'm looking at getting a OnePlus 6. Should I?

Currently using a iPhone 6s but I want to switch to android.

Whats my options?

@JamesR have a look at Google pixel 2 it's around 650 for 64 GB model. It has great camera and long support and updates.

@mohammed would it be better than the oneplus 6, the op6 appears to have a better processor and double the ram?

@JamesR I'm not an expert, and I'll be biased because I own a Google pixel 2 xl, but I can suggest you to watch 2-3 reviews of both phones (if you are considering it) to make your decision also if you can get a chance for a hand-on experience.

Why switch to android? I have an iphone 6s 128gb had it since launch. runs the latest os. is totally reliable, runs fast as fuck, great UX UI. I would never switch to Android. Interested to know why (if price is not the main concern)

@helloworld I had a oneplus 3 and switched to iOS, I prefer android as it offers more control and i can switch it up when i get bored.

@AlexDeLarge I had the oneplus 3 until i broke it. I think i’ll probably go for the 128/8gb Op6

@fuck2code Why? its a fucking phone. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. But each to his/her own. If you want a reliable OS and phone iPhone every time. If you want to fuck about with it, obviously get an android. If you want to do work on it, get a fucking computer. if you want storage get a fucking usb stick. To me my phone is the backbone of my business and it has to be reliable as fuck.

@helloworld Yes, iPhones are clearly the more reliable phone. i haven’t had mine crash on me and i have over 175 apps (most always running) and still no crashes.

@J-2FA That could be a option, the only OEM i won’t buy from is LG.

Well, I am OnePlus user from the start. I have used the Pixel 2 and it's a great phone. Currently I am using OnePlus 5 and the phone is great.
Oxygen OS is great and has lot of customization features. If you are looking for a budget phone go with the OnePlus and if you are fan of pure Android with regular updates go for Pixel 2

@anki7 Yes, i’ve had oneplus one, oneplus two and the oneplus three. I just don’t agree with how the company skew benchmark results and sell user data. Therefore if i was to get a Oneplus 6 id have to root it and install a custom ROM.

@fuck2code yeah, i love oneplus but them doing that has made me a bit less likely to buy a new phone. hense why i’m leaning towards a pixel 2 xl or a iphone X

@fuck2code I see, i’m also very in the apple ecosystem with a macbook, apple watch and airpods. but i really want to switch back to Android.

@Artemix Very interesting! Someone i know has a Retina 15inch Macbook pro (unsure of year). They keeep getting shocks of just above the touchpad.

I take exception to the argument that iPhones are more reliable than Android phones. In the years I've been with my girlfriend and now wife, she's always had an iPhone and I've always had an Android. Aside from the "stuck in a box" UI of iOS, my wife's iPhone has always been unequivocally more unstable and buggy than mine.

As for the specific question, I personally would not choose the OP6 because it's the size of a ping pong paddle.

@zlice yeah the usb 2.0 is a disappointment. i wish i could get the 256gb version and use it as a fast memory stick.

@zlice I think it’s a cost saving measure. But i can’t see it costing much to implement.

@XiovV To me the notch is a good thing, obviously it'd be better if it wasn't there but for now its a way to give me more screen real-estate on the app i'm using. I also don't mind the look.

Take a look at BQ Aquaris X2. I have an Aquaris X and am very happy with it. ( Switched from Samsung ) tldr

Idk if you bought the phone eet, but I just got my 1+6 last week and it's amazing. 10/10 recommended.
