Every student here has to write an essay about some kind of voluntary work he / she did while studying and how the knowledge can be used in your (future) job.
I did train and educate kids at sports. In the end I've compared those kids with a group of software developers which has to be educated, too (e.g. in their manners).

I volunteered in CoderDojo (Anvil, Indiana) as a teaching assistant. It was one of the 2223 free programming and software development clubs for kids and students. We did a couple of school projects with those kids who knew only how to copypaste. Any teacher or educator can start a Dojo club at school.
