I don't see how one would run out of so much storage. I mean, photos and videos are backed up in Apple cloud or Google photos. Music is almost always streamed. One usually uses Netflix or Amazon prime for videos and movies. Then there's YouTube. What do people hoard? Memes?

@tacticalKimchi I used to work at sea 30+ miles offshore, no cell network and satellite packages are absurdly expensive in terms of "entertainment use. Had to stuff as many ebooks, songs, and movies as I could onto my phone. Expandable memory was actually the only reason I initially switched to droid. Rocking a 128GB sd card now and it's about half full.

Too many apps that consume 100+ mb. Facebook is prime suspect with up to 1 GB storage usage.

Photos are backed up, true but do you really think they delete them locally until it is necessary ?

Whenever someone asks me to clear their storage, this is usually what i see. Lots of photos and videos, 4Gb+ non-system application caches.

@illegaldisease App cache is something that grows in gunk. This I agree. As for fb/twitter/g+ etc, at least on android, I find no difference between the progressive web app via chrome vs the native app in terms of functionality. The native apps are cancer.
