Had yet another devrant script idea, now whenever you click outside the textbox on accident, it will be saved and restored, once you return to it on the same page.

In fact, if you're reading this - this rant has been tested with it and survived.

    @Floydian yep, that's what this is for

    @Floydian already on the todo, currently only saved in a variable
  • 2
    @Floydian you mean saving rants? already there as said in the OP

    @JoshBent You've been on a roll man lol

    @Stuxnet I don't know, the sleepless nights just spawned like a million ideas for client problem solutions and user scripts lol!

    @Floydian no problem and yeah, I am trying to add as much functionality as is missing or can't be globally enabled, because it's not as needed maybe

    wish the mobile version of the webapp would work too though, because then we could use userscripts on mobile too! (is that planned or easily doable btw? or is that skipped on purpose to drive app downloads? @trogus @dfox)

    @Floydian I know they are not out for money (mad props for that btw as always) - but valid point actually about the webapp, even though the app might be still the "main" target group?

    @Floydian what do you mean by "system tips"?

    @Brosyl hah thanks - I thought about building some sort of enhancement suit, similar to reddits RES, might make that indeed later sometime

    You should work at devRant
  • 1
    Okay let's see

    Yeah it works!
  • 2
    @Skayo you're actually the second one to say that and it's still as flattering, but yet still I stand, that there's much more experienced devs (especially with trogus recently saying, that they would be interested in rebuilding the webapp in react), that have had shown interest in working at devrant before, so if some day, devrant does establish itself enough to hire, I wouldn't be quite the candidate among others most likely.

    @N1teshsurana hah, I see you also tried the all out kamikaze test, that I did with the OP too, thanks for testing it!

    @Floydian haven't yet touched the clear button, so it still has that bug

    also need to find a clean way to refresh content if it got updated outside the handler, like read on your phone etc. since devrant does these checks, but the dom seems to freeze up, if I filter it.

    @Floydian great! I'll try to find a fix for the clear button, have also other ideas I want to implement into it, like filters (++, comment, ..) for the "unread" tab and a "me" tab that shows only notifs targetting you (e.g. "mentioned you")

    @Floydian sure thing!
  • 0
    @Floydian yeah, might add a check for that, thanks

    @Floydian just now saw your second comment, what do you mean by that though? it shouldn't touch anything on rant pages besides notifying the global listener

    @Floydian youre hitting the weirdest bugs hah, chrome or ff? I'll try to see that tomorrow
  • 0
    @Floydian idk I can't reproduce it atleast, notifications work and all comments get loaded, posting as you see works too (I have all my own scripts running btw)

    @Floydian does the problem still persist?
  • 0
    @Floydian sure, no problem
