Problem is that most never bothered with GDPR, thinking it would not concern them, until they started receiving those messages and realized they have to and then they panic and overreact.
Most could probably get by with a simple, read our new policy, and the would be fine. But when you dive for it after its technically to late you wont take the time to do it right ;)
Ghostery just leaked all of their users email addresses in their GDPR compliance email.

THE MOTHERFUCKING GDPR IS EVERYWHERE, I WENT TO A GROCERY STORE AND THEY PUT AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON FUCKING REPEAT, BEGGEING THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH THEIR "BONUS CLUB" CARDS TO SIGN A CONSENT AT THE CASH REGISTER!!! ON A FUCKING REPEAT!!! THE ONLY THING THESE MOTHERFUCKING ARSEHOLES ARE ACHIEVING IS ME GETTING SO PISSED OFF THAT I ALMOST SLAPPED THE CASHIER WHO ASKED ME IF I HAVE GOT THEIR "BONUS CLUB" CARD!
