I was thinking about linux and it's security.
Many are sayin that do not require an antivirus. BUT
What if you install wine (3.0) .
And after that install a software (.exe) that contains malware. What about that!
I was thinking today, it would get inffected?

Well everything that you can edit can be edited by wine apps too. Your whole / is mounted to your wine prefix by default. Also yeah wanna cry works in wine.

It'd infect everything Windowsy it can have access to. If you have other Windows executables in any directory mapped in WINE it'd infect it. The Linux system would be largely unaffected unless the virus is coded explicitly to know if it's being run on WINE.

Then again, a virus that hijacked your documents and personal files would get ahold of all you have in any mapped directories. So yeah.
