I just can keep the gdpr memes and rants coming, this is getting out of hand, a fucking contact form needs a checkbox, that you fucking obviously "store" it, by sending a fucking email, are you absolutely out of your mind, what do you expect I do, just /dev/null route your shit? maybe I should, shitheads.

    Do you actually need to ask for consent on simple contact form? Unless you're piping their personal data into a mailing list, or do something else than what's expected (eg. customer support) with it, is my understanding that you don't need to.

    It's like... When ordering a pizza by phone, for some reason, I don't need to explicitly consent to have my address written down on the order, because that's part of what's expected from that interaction. 1, they can ask me for consent for additional stuff, like maybe add me to their newsletter list or whatever. If my perspective on this is wrong, please argue. I'm definitely interested in getting this GDPR thing "right", whatever "right" may be.
