ddephor44457y@zlice You dont't have to do it nicely.
Say it as it is. It does not help being kind to everybody. Some people don't even take you seriously if you don't raise your voice. -
Codextor7687yI've such a bad habit of saying yes to any and every task given, even my manager wrote in my review report that I need to stop doing this.

This is the result of years of privacy policies and terms and conditions that we skipped faster by pressing "yes".
It is all a conspiracy designed by the zucctilians to control our toughts and emotions!
Everybody, tinfoil hats on! -
Fradow9087yReplace every "yes" by "I'll get back to you".
Work wonders. I too used to be guilty of that, but nowadays I'm proud to say it's not a problem anymore.
And don't answer by "no" everytime, people will resent you for always being negative. Had a phase like that, it didn't go well. Don't refuse, offer choices.
For example: "I want this thing live in 1 week" => "Let me back to you" => after thinking a bit "Ok, that's do-able in 2 weeks, not 1 sorry, and for that you need to push back Y project by 2 week, what do you prefer?". -
i learned to say no just in three days, nothing changes except their mood for few hours... so yeah
