Vherus1178yApply anyway. Usually job descriptions are posted by a different department to the techies that actually need to fill the position. The hiring manager will ask the tech manager what they want, tech manager will say "I'd like a bit of experience" and the hiring manager will write "Must have 3 years experience".
Don't be discouraged, job descriptions contain bull shit more often than not. -
@Vherus I did apply. Some of them replied: "your experience and skills doesn't match our requirements"! And the others didn't bother to reply or at least not yet!

@Jumpshot44 Yes, from job boards. I have a cover letter with refrence to my internship experience and projects on github.
-
Ahh - there is an opportunity for improvement! Spend a bigger portion of your time off the job boards. Even highly experienced pro's do not have success with job boards. Often a black hole.
Target companies that need your skills. Maybe some smaller companies to begin. Also, companies not advertising jobs. If they have an internal opening you will have little competition.
Customize your targeted marketing material - cover letter, resume, side projects so that the value is so high they will have to speak with you. The goal of the material is not to get you a job offer - it is to get you a follow-up conversation.
Remember, you can hear 'no job' 100 times and 'let's talk' 1 time and you moved toward success.
Thoughts? -
@Jumpshot44 Thank you for your time and advice, I will definitely try that out and let you all know when something exciting happens. Thanks again.

Vherus1178y@Jumpshot44 I especially like the way you ended that comment with "Thoughts?" as though you were leaving a code review

Don't you worry, don't you worry child. Heaven's got a plan for you....!
Just apply, if they are really tech ppl, if they look at your resume. They will hire you defiantly if they see the worth. -
zzguy6028yAlso, not all recruiters are soul sucking corporate man-childs. If one hits you up with a cool sounding position, it may be worth it to respond.
As a fresh/recent graduate, how I'm supposed to get a job if the minimum requirement for an internship or entry-level job is 2-3 years of working experience! And why the fuck my open source and personal projects don't add any value to my experience!
