    I really like their business model: the app is free and complete on its own. But you can buy features like themes or shortcuts for the home screen.

    @HTMLspecialist those are different apps, look up "termux" and you'll see a bunch of other apps

    I've run it for quite a while now, about 2 years or so, and it's the only thing that ever made me feel as good as configuring my server on the toilet etc.

    It's really awesome. Can recommend.

    @Shardj that doesn't mean you automatically get the terminal though. It only gives you sudo rights and usually an app for allowing sudo things.

    shame is termux:boot doesn't seem to work for me. Also having a nodejs server running only works for a while, it always stops smh

    @Charmesal It's in dev options for most phones which arent flagship as fuck (e.g. Samsung i doubt has it, but I know Huawei and Pixel do)

    @Proximyst I see. I've had flagships for years. That explains.
    An app is more easily accessible and its available on nearly every phone so I can see the appeal.

    So I entered vi editor and started typing. And then I remembered that my mobile keyboard doesn't have an esc key. So I had to force close the app.

    Is there a keyboard app with an actual ESC button out there?
