I've got a question for y'all.

What with Facebook's recent pig-like nature and disregard of users, I have been thinking there is a gap in the market for a better, safer social site that offers all the benefits of Facebook without the downsides.

What are your thoughts?

You are by far not the first one with those thoughts. Facebook raised to its size as back in times there were no real competitor except MySpace. Myspace was to overloaded and as anyone could somehow edit the personal page the results were often irritating for visitors eyes. The time was not right for myspace and myspace was not ready for the actual needs. Facebook quickly raised to an amount of users which broke a mystical barrier of self running acceptance (if you can name it like that). Today people are used to a huge selection of social Networks and it will be more than hard...if not impossible to come up with a new but better network. There are plenty of new Impulses in this direction and they all have this better, saver banner flying in the wind
