@sudorm-rf Do it, no one is hindering you. GitHub already tracked you anyway.

@FilipeRamalho Already done years ago :)

I just have a GitHub profile for contributing to other projects and for the sake of having a GitHub account.

    That escalated quickly 😵

@sudorm-rf I will soon self-host Gitea, because I like the idea of self-hosting, which is fun because it correlates with this announcement.

@FilipeRamalho Never heard of it but it sounds interesting. My GitLab instance is self-hosted, too.

@sudorm-rf There are some things missing, but I think it looks nicer then Gitlab.

I'm going to give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt on this one. Based on recent open source projects like VSCode. Just something unsettling about a major close source company acquiring the biggest open source community though..

@FilipeRamalho That's true, it's cleaner. But that may be because GitLab is feature packed.

@infiniteshroom I understand that is a bit scary, but give them some time and then judge.

I'd rather use Bitbucket than Gitlab tbh

I just feel like it has a nicer interface (although I still prefer GitHub's)

@Ezard Till now I have been using Bitbucket for private projects and Github for contributions.

@FilipeRamalho Oh totally. I think there definitely making moves in the right direction VSCode and Typescript are great open source projects. Just apprehensive is all. Shall see what happens.
