Rant about other people ranting about people ranting about Microsoft/GitHub, you really need to stop telling people about what they're allowed to rant about, your rants about other people's rants are taking over devRant and it's annoying as hell!
We get it, you're against people ranting about certain topics, but at some point you've got to move on.

(How meta can we get?)

I don't like this rant, it's too ranty. Why can't you just move on 😂😂😂😂 I think we can keep going but yeah I think it's time to move on, we can't reverse the acquisition. Cheers

None of us really care what each other rant about. It's just annoying to see the same rant over and over again. As far as alot of us older users see it's the same thing that happened with memes when devRant was first started, alot of spam

@PerfectAsshole If it's an interesting current topic in the IT world you will get a lot of people talking about it. Seems a bit like Twitter in that regard.

Maybe we could improve filters in order to filter out the topics we don't want to read about? Then people can stop writing even more rants about people ranting about every topic, seems kind of pointless to me because you would have to skip through those too, adding to the problem of spam.

This was kind of a satire rant to point out that the more you rant about spam, the more spam you're generating.

@Qwby well generally if you scroll down a few seconds you can find a topic that everybody is talking about and comment on that rant instead of creating another. Personally i see this is a problem of people being lazy or ++ hungry not a filter problem.

Yeah I'm aware of the purpose of this rant which is why i responded on this one over ignoring it like i did the others

@PerfectAsshole if I've learned one thing, it's that you can't really educate all users (without design changes), in any case, you have to somehow take their actions into account.

I think one action could potentially be to alter the default algorithm in some way or to warn the user posting a new rant on a popular tag that they should look for other rants and comment on those.
