I can only say one thing, I trust Microsoft over others. Always have always will. Not trying to say they are perfect but among the big 3, I trust Microsoft the most.

cors24398yshitting over microsoft is in a more philosophical context for foss advocates, you know. also, apple is in a worse position than microsoft in that same context.

xroad23188yExcept windows servers are notoriously bad at scaling. It's fine if you're a multi billion dollar company that can afford to throw money for more servers but it'll kill if you're a startup

I think the fact that Microsoft is investing so much into Linux shows their lack of faith in their own system as a cloud conduit and infrastructure. They are bending over backwards to capture market share again.

mxdpeep5078y... and yes Microsoft is a shitty company as shitty as it can be, in every thing imaginable!
... on Wednesday we have to migrate to Microsoft Exchange, God help us! 😁 -
magis22818yFor a large scale, international business model such as yours, yeah going with a giant like Microsoft would be wise. But on a personal, day to day level of a freelance dev, Windows can do nothing, that Linux can't do better.

Lukas18698yI made an error: my comment was originally meant for @eramuswill. It's fine by my to have an opinion about something, but telling to "to get the fuck out of here" because you can't handle peolpe with a different opinion is not OK...@mxdpeep Sorry again for blaiming you;)
I am tired of people shi**ng all over Windows and Microsoft. Microsoft runs probably the biggest website and cloud environment in the world. And guess what? On Windows servers. The company I work for has 200,000 employees and many massive data centers with trillions of client records. And we run a 100% Microsoft environment.
I would imagine that any sys admin or developer can appreciate such scale and reliability.
