Another bout of distro hopping, this time back to Debian.

Just need to remember to keep my laptop and pc more or less in sync in terms of software and versions etc

@electric-ghost seems ok, had to install non-free drivers to get it to recognise my wireless card in my laptop, and the graphics card in my desktop.

But I did my research so only took 5 or 10 minutes to sort out each one.

I’m still working on getting everything installed and set up at the moment.

    I have a love/hate relationship with Debian.
I love using my system now that I have everything set up how I like. But it breaks so often, in such strange ways, and requires so much effort to fix that I absolutely cannot recommend it.

Terminator randomly stopped working correctly this week. Neither resetting configs nor reinstalling had any effect. Later, KDE compositing broke. Later still, Firefox CPU usage spiked consistently (irrespective of pages/load) and slowed my system noticeably. Today, terminator arbitrarily decided to start working again. Idfk why it's been so buggy. 😞

@Root I’ve never really had any problems with it, which is one of the reasons I went back to Debian, even if installing non free drivers can be a bit of a pain.

I’ve not had any problems yet, but all I’ve done is write some ruby and python and pushed some stuff to GitHub.
