Gigex418yCould totally be from me...
Some coworker learned coding by himself and is maybe 20 years older than me.
I started coding 4 years ago and overtook him by many aspects in coding.
He still wont listen to me and just keeps going with his old style coding.
He would still use GoTo Commands if he cant get a better solution. -
@h3ll lately i have been disappointed too with all the hiring. getting people who are passionate and humble should get priority. Once the culture is gone, its gone.

Well said! I must admit I once struggled with this but after enough times of my "right way" biting me in the ass, I learned to listen to others who may know more than me. I now greatly enjoy discussing possible better ways to solve the problem at hand.

@blackmarket i once worked with a person like that and it was gorgeous to work together. He would elaborate on the idea and tell me pros and cons with examples. THAT enlightened me.
Keep your arrogance, your fucking stupid logic and religious belief about everthing you say is right aside.
when somebody says there is a better way to solve a problem.. you can do two things. you either listen to them, validate the idea and accept or reject based on discussion or you just be an arrogant fucking prick and stick to your fucking reasoning, about your "right" way.
Don't do the latter. Wont help you become better neither at work nor in life.
FUCK YOU.
