morgh6818y@burswag You made the right call. Understanding the business and being able to give sound advice will strengthen your position in the company. Aside of valuable experience you get in giving advice and making decisions it opens op higher positions, and possible salary negotiations. You can probably get away with being just a dev that codes, but you'll never be given true responsibilities.

burswag9298y@morgh well I'm trying to get out of the place. No intention of moving anywhere in here, as there's nowhere to move.

Syro658yMy company would ask contractors to make business logic on multiple occasion. Even ask some to make IT infrastructure decisions for the comonay.
Are junior developers expected to make business logic decisions? There's one that my boss wants to know my opinion of, and I'm thinking, "fuck, I don't know, why should I make that decision?" Or is that part of what developers have to learn?
