Evaluating some WiFi ESP8266 modules. 01, 12S, 14. Programming is very simple with Arduino IDE and esp8266 community.
This iot world really excite me.
ESP-01 about 1$, oled display about 2.5$...
Project is to create my own HomeKit modules. (Relay switch, temps, garage door, etc..)

    And then forget to have any security in place so it's easily hackable πŸ˜‰

    @BigBoo security is what’s you decide. In all domains. Windows without firewall is not a good system?

    @mk3d Good is subjective.

    Even thinking about doing what you did with the ESP-12 on the right gives me chills. It is impressive and horrifying at the same time :D

    @franga2000 not really. Internet give you all informations. Just time. I have started with Arduino platform. And raspberrypi. Now ESP8266 can “replace” an Arduino and got WiFi for about 2$. So many possibilities. That is so exciting.

    @mk3d oh, I know that. My room alone contains 4-5 ESPs doing various stupid things. I was referring to the way you soldered the ESP-12 directly to standard pins with a bunch of wires.
