Ahh, went thru this nonsense. Immediately removed mysql8 and went back to good old 5.7 :)

Tried 3 hours to use a different encryption engine, all failed after a single restart so just gave up on it...

I dont know how you do to think that the setup process is bad, you must really fucked up.

MariaDB is faster than MySQL atleast, dont know about postgresql
