Thoughts yes, but I'm talking about $. Apparently people think all CEO's are millionaires or else they're just bluffing.
-
@rigobertomolina
No need. EVERY FUCKING MASTER WAS ONCE A NOOB.
You don't need to be millionaire as starting CEO. If you are still not millionaire even after 10 years., then there might be something seriously wrong with either product or the people who uses it.
you don't need to care about peoples opinion on you (whether millionaire or not) unless and until it is related to your business or product. -
Lukas18698yIsn't than inverting cause and effect? You (can, in some cases) become a millionaire by being CEO. You don't need to be one to become CEO. Btw: CEO is a very detached highlevel management function. It's something for a 10000+ employee company. Everybody running small businesses and calling them selves "CEO" nowadays are full of shit.
-
@Lukas What I meant was, once you say "I'm a CEO", people expect you to be driving in a Ferrari having an extravagant lifestyle. But I understand you completely.
-
xroad23188y@Lukas I have a couple of small startups. Is it pretentious of me to call myself a CEO?
-
xroad23188y@rigobertomolina no that's stupid. People who think that only see the success, never the days spent eating ramen and the nights spent on couches. Those are also the kinds of people who think it's all luck and very little hard work.
-
Lukas18698yI meant everybody...except for mr. Xroad, of course ;) I was just expressing my frustration about some "bizzy" types calling a "cleaning personell" a "sanitary and healt consultant" and the cafetaria lady a "food supply chain manager". There is too much of this title throwing going on lately, I think. @xroad
-
Im calling my self CEO, too. Got 3 companies. I understand that the CEO title is quite too much, though i run the companies myself but have big income. What title would you suggest?
-
Sousy328y@Gowtham95india Or, if you're not a millionaire after 10 years but still make a decent living you might have a stable business.
Not all startups turn into multi-million revenue generators : I've seen a lot of neat ideas scrapped because they weren't "profitable enough" on the SV startup scale. -
xroad23188y@Lukas don't get me wrong - I called myself the CEO when I was the only person in the company. But as a business owner you get a much different response to calling up a lead and saying you're the CEO as opposed to saying you're just the sales guy.
