i get triggered as fuck when i see people do the upper part of this picture and i see that way too often. now that i think about it, in fact, i have never seen anyone do the second part of this image. am i the only one who knows how to delete text much faster?

I do shift+del, but I have set it to delete line instead of cut, because cut places the crap on the clipboard and then I will paste it somewhere.

@electrineer but ctrl + x is close to one another and u can do it with 1 hand instead of guessing where delete is located on ur keyboard or even mistyping it

@interstellar Ever heard of right shift and a full keyboard? There are no issues except when using a laptop with a bad keyboard (=most if not all laptops).

@electrineer my right hand is always on the mouse and my left hand does all the shortcuts, why would i move my right hand over to do a shortcut with both hands if i can do that only with my left hand?

@interstellar so you always type with one hand? This way your hands don't need to leave the keyboard.

@electrineer when i write code i write with both hands obv, but when i have to review code through 1000 files i use my 🐁 and operate with left hand on the keyboard for small changes unless it requires to write code with both hands

goddamn why do we need to create a new branch of philosophy about this, why are we making this much more complicated than it is, its just simple common sense
