I've seen a lot of WordPress hate, and can't blame anyone, that thing needs to disappear

But why? I think it's a great tool for blogging and can be easily managed. For working on blogging part time I find it extremely easy

@ajaynaruto cause people use it for everything else, like...Webshops, entire Webpages, FileServerManagement and so on..and, without having ever having worked with it, wordpress plugins are apparently a bitch

seriously tho, i think WP is quite nice when you strip the frontend part off and you use it as headless cms.

it's not cutting edge tech ofc, but it offers a ready to use backend for many purposes.

No. Fuck the "devs" that doesn't know how to use built-in API's/functions and instead install a plugin for the same functionality.

wordpress.com doesn't even allow many plugins/themes, that's why it sucks to host sites there and everything looks like a three year old undead Big Mac - the Wordpress look.

However, when you host a WP installation elsewhere and get plugins on board, it sucks even more because many plugins were written by amateurs who have no idea of security, and you're in an ocean of garbage and security vulnerabilities, which is why wordpress.com doesn't allow that in the first place, and everything breaks when you update shit, and if you don't, you get hacked faster than Chuck Norris can do a roundhouse kick.
