People that call you, get to voicemail and, instead of leaving you a message (especially if it's something important), just hang up.

Why is it so hard for people to just leave a message saying “Hi, I'm ${PERSON} and I'm calling you because of ${REASON}, to let you know that ${WHATEVER}. Please call back”?

I don't know if it's like that in your respective countries, but here in Spain people seem to have a phobia of leaving voicemails and it's fucking annoying.

I don't leave voicemails. If I need to speak to someone and they're unavailable I hang up and try again later at a time that suits me. If I don't actually need a conversation with them then whatever statement I had to make can be sent by email so as not to waste their time pissing about with mailboxes.

Voicemail is so dated and annoying for both sender and recipient. Let's just let it die along with faxes and pagers.

I'm hesitant to even place a voice call, let alone leave or listen to a voicemail. If it's someone I know, I am far more likely to contact them through other means than trying to monopolize their attention and mine with a phone call.

I will leave a voicemail if I call a business that doesn't pick up, but that's about it.

Because voicemail is the polite way of saying fuck you dickhead, nobody will listen to the shit that runs from your worn-out sewers, and since we can't even be bothered to pretend we're listening, look, you can talk to this fucking stupid machine that has still twice your IQ, did you moron get that, ok and now kill yourself after the BEEP.
