spilt coffee on my good mechanical keyboard and it fried something because it keeps typing random letters... I've been reduced back to working on a membrane keyboard and my God is it less satisfying...

That's a nightmare. I pity your typing experience and work day. I recently got a mechanical keyboard and can't go back.

I split tea on my mechanical keyboard, luckily it was one of the water proof ones. Whew that feature came in handy.

@champion01 oh yeah man, don't get me wrong, it's a nice membrane but it just doesn't compare to my MX switches when your banging out hundreds if not thousands of lines of code a day... brings a tear to my eye just talking about it...

@robert-cox I feel you man. That hurts.

Question: what color switches do you have? I have blues and work in a cubicle so no way can I bring it to work haha. I have a membrane I use at work.

Do you use yours at work? Is it to loud?

If there's no other way to save it you should try unplugging it and pouring distilled water on it.

@champion01 I use mine at work as well, same environment. I have MX greens (razers version of blues) no one seems to care (though my office blasts music through the PA so I don't think my office is typical)

@xroad ima let it dry out completely and then try it again. if it's still fried I'll disassemble it and clean it out with your water trick.

@robert-cox that's so cool! I want to get Mx greens, I've heard good things and the blues are a bit to soft for me.

Very cool about your office environment! Enjoy it, many Devs work in boring corporate cubes.

@champion01 I'm very happy with where I work man. I know I've got a very unique and fun situation man.

love the greens, they have a very nice travel to them.
