Me on Windows: Connecting headphones via Bluetooth, starting to play some music.

Ten minutes later, Windows: Setting up device
-> Headphones stop working

TL:DR
Fuck you Windows and fuck you game developers who don't support Linux

    @nemyxa Well, I feel like SteamOS has been mostly abandoned.

    In Linux the drivers would be outdated or buggy or from some suspicious source or not existent at all. When you finally get it working you realise that it would have probably been quicker to write them yourself.

    @julkali Actually it was the opposite.
    Everything worked perfectly fine on the first try 👌

    Do people really still have problems with device drivers in Linux? That's not really been a big issue for me since the early days, in the late '90s.

    But as for gaming on Linux, there's certainly a long way to go, but the only big games now that aren't hitting Linux at all, for the most part, are AAA games, which lack substance in my opinion, and often have a gross microtransaction focus, with annoying grinding built in, to make spending money more attractive.

    Meanwhile though, indies are bombarding my steam games list. Hollow Knight, Celeste, and Dead Cells are three absolutely jaw-dropping masterpieces that had Linux support on day one.
