This is most likely your brain playing a trick on you. Your brain always tries to see patterns where there are none to begin.
But I don't deny that facebook isn't sketchy with their software. If you get anybodies number and add them on whatsapp, facebook will mine that through and show you the person on facebook one to two weeks later.
If you think that your number doesnt reveal your name, then I am sorry if you have facebook.
This however isn't a random pattern my brain made up. This has happened three times now. -

I've already seen the video and myself and many others (including the creator) came to the conclusion that the testing done in the video isn't sufficient enough to provide a valid case study.
Theres been reports from others trying the same with no results or nothing notable.
IIRC he clicks a 🐕 toy ad at the start which biases the entire test from the get go.
Now don't get me wrong here, facebook is sketchy af. But you should look at things analytical and unbiased, and not emotional.
