i am using both at the moment, and if you ask me go is still better.

go has its ups sure, but we took it (node) a step forward by making a microservice Arch of our own and it was fun.

A lot of the hype went along with TJ Holowaychuk. You may have heard of some of the libraries he's written, like Jade (now pug), mocha, stylus, and, oh ya, express and Koa. without doubt go is a great language, but its fun to code in node and work to code in go
