Just went from full time employee at my work to contract under my own LLC on a retainer at my old salary. I'm my own man and it feels great. All the tax breaks shall be mine.

It feels like floating, doesn’t it?! I can’t believe how much more relaxed I feel after escaping the corporate chains. Why do big companies have to make everything into an uphill struggle?

@joycestick managers, project managers, and the like don't understand their job is to help us do our job better and help us get what we need to say on track. Instead they sit around doing nothing at best and inforcing arbitrary rules at worst to justify their existance.

The rule I made about wearing ties at work may not of helped the project get done, but it was inforced while the project did get done, so I will now take all the credit.

Contract = no benefits, easier to fire?

Small company, 2 employees, no benefits already, right to work state so already easy to fire; but he needs me more than I need him.

In this case it's a lateral move.
