Is there a web browser for Linux that supports hw accelerated video decode?
(Intel graphics)

There are so many bug reports for this, but all seem to be "won't fix"/ api is unstable or some other problem

I want to watch youtube without it destroying my battery.

(I know I can load the stream into a video player like VLC and watch it there, but that is not very practical...)

@theKarlisK Just installed it. The power draw is the same as Chrome.

With VLC the laptop draws 7.5 - 9 W. With all browsers i get somewhere between 13.5 - 20W. (both on relatively low screen brightness). And the expected battery life drops to half in all browsers playing video.

    I'm using Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.
