I love the dominance struggle I have with my cat. Plenty of scratches. She's not of the domesticated kind and used to try and jump up to bite and sever the arteries in my neck, a common hunting reflex for wild cats. But when we're both exhausted and covered in blood the purring & booping of her head against my cheek is very endearing.
But yeah masochism sounds about right. -
Seems about right, my cat does the same thing. After several mauling/biting incidents, the pain isn't even pain anymore.

@bittersweet haha i can relate. My previous cat was an angry and badass lady . Its been an year , but i still have her claw marks.
But this boy is gooood. He's with us from the day he was a month old i guess. And this is his typical midnight affection call in which he wakes up from wherever he was sleeping and comes near to me.
Although yes, he does gets little mischievous after an hour or so from waking up and starts running in the whole house hopping /slipping and what not.But usually he won't dig his claws even when forcefully captured. His playtime is weird 😂 -
@R1100 Cats are usually very picky about their shitting spots. Hair, and sometimes barf... That goes everywhere.
