Why do people still code with classic asp in 2016? Have they not heard of Asp.net C#?

That's my life right now. Took the job with the concept of "we want to upgrade to keep this relevant". When I suggest ways to make it relevant and easier to maintain, "Sorry, I just don't see the point in that". So I remain in the old ASP.Net dark ages

@DevotedSniper We are just using EF+linq for simple queries. we still using EF+raw SQL for complex queries. Ive started learning c# on .net core and I really like the json config way instead of bunch of XML files
