Excited to use my new mechanical keyboard. Awwww YISSS! Been waiting forever.

But seriously who thought of combining Fedex and the United States Postal Service in a delivery method. Sure it sounds great in theory but from my experience, Fedex has the worst tracking ever and USPS is slow in delivering to business addresses.

Nice! Which keyboard is that? Looks awesome

It's a Leopold FC900R, led backlit (obviously) and blue cherry mx switches. Just the keyboard I think I needed to annoy a coworker 😈

@turturtles blue switches are just lovely to hear in my opinion. Wouldn't mind to be your co worker

Nice! How's the feel on that?

Anyone know of a wireless mechanical with Cherry Blues?

@Oussama you're not wrong but there are some moments where the '!' is also used to comment out stuffs

I've been seeing it as more of a comment here than say in Python or c# where it means not. So I used it in that context.

@turturtles If you were my colleague I would've strangled you with the wires of the same keyboard before the first day was out! I am a massive fan of the clear tactile switches with blue O-rings installed for the most efficient travel distance and quiet typing. Waiting for my custom made ones to be delivered by the slow USPS currently as well.

@codeRetard I wouldn't even be mad knowing I didn't die in vein and that I used the blue cherries for their natural purpose.

But in all seriousness the feel and sound of them clicking is oddly satisfying. Like driving down a newly paved road in AZ on brand new tires, or the feel of a silky pillowcase on a freshly shaven face.

@turturtles your description of how they feel seriously cracked me up. I won't say that they are not satisfactory to click but the click soon turns into an annoyance as I am always playing my vinyls while coding and I hate any meddling sound in between to mess up the experience.

Also because of how they are designed, unless you are an extremely light typist, you are going to bottom out and screw up your finger joints much quicker.

With the clear MX switches, you will feel the tactile feed back less than half way the travel distance and so you can avoid bottoming out typing. Also you are not making some more additional noise as you work which won't disturb the record player ha ha.

I have had Green switched keyboards which are essentially the clickier version of the blue in the past and I have to say my fingers feel much better since I moved over to the clear. I also find myself kindda gliding through the text rather than having to punch through like a caveman.

@codeRetard that's how I feel on these. Besides my joints are already messed up from the military, I doubt they'll get any worse than they are 😂
