Computer programming teacher wanted us to write some pseudocode to solve an algorithm just so we can practice writing some code and solving problems. The teacher needs a copy so I spent about 2 hours today rewriting all of that pseudocode because she wants it handwritten...

My grandma told me how they were programming in college, writing down the code on paper for a week until the one-computer-room was free for an hour in the weekend and they could test it. That was her 3rd year, up until then they only wrote on papers and the teacher was checking it.
I can't see myself putting up with that shit.
It was programming for agricultural machines.

@edisonn Without a compiler or checker, sure. But typing in a regular document shouldn't make a difference?
I had my programming examinations with paper and pen only, but it was more than 15 years ago.

@edisonn Actually yes, you're right. I remember how ugly the hand written code quickly got, barring and erasing because you didn't think it through.

@edisonn I do like writing code on paper. It doesn't have to be a perfect match just the idea. But handwriting it twice isn't very fun

@edisonn now that you mention it, I did used to write out all my code before sitting down at the Atari to input it. It was PoV raytracing so the sidebar was full off co-ords calcs. I still have one of those foolscap pads :)
