It's like extra spicy food. At first it's hell but once you've destroyed your taste buds and are numb to the pain, it's quite nice. And then the outcome is diarrhoea anyway.

Seriously? CSS is simple, it's Web designer stuff, not developer. Combine with HTML and Javascript, and it's frontend development... But CSS is just following simple rules to move stuff around on the screen, not programming...

Good CSS is more than just pushing pixels, mate. To do it right, you need to have a full understanding of the DOM, how the cascade works, how to optimize your sheets so a not to slow down page speed, and support hundreds of displays and browser capabilities. CSS is an art _and_ a science.

@Rowsdower yes, but it's not programming. nor is it hell, unless you're just doing it blindly with w3 schools as your guide!
