It's 2016, yet universities do programming tests on paper! More irritating is the lecturer, who is a slow typist and can't do touch typing.

    not everyone can do touch typing. i certainly cant. doesnt affect my productivity. if you are typing code that fast you arent thinking about it hard enough

    @HarambeJS I find that touch typing eventually happens without much effort.

    Having said that I did cut my teeth typing from the dictation of hovering copywriters with an imminent print deadline.

    @HarambeJS I agree with you, but our lecturer has 1 sec delay after each keypress! How's that?

    In my university I never had written exam on paper about programming at all... Only the math is on paper here

    the sad part is, I almost got used to it. I'm a recent grad and I remember writing an entire class and methods on paper. Heck, we even did inheritance, test cases and others on paper while our laptops just sit there cooling. This continued to my senior year...smh
