Fucking GDPR, is getting on my nerves now, can't go anywhere without encountering a cookie wall.

Dont blame politics for people not following laws. It should be opt in and they are not allowed to constantly ask you for permission and block you from their content if you dont allow it.
If things were implemented accroding to the law you wouldnt see the cookie walls everytime. It would be a one time forever thing.

@Fast-Nop a cookie. And yes its not permanenet and yes they will ask each time on a new device, but that is the closest they can get as far as I know.

I still think it's a crap law, look at the effect it's had on the typical browsing session. Popup after popup, some sites don't even let you see the content unless you agree. It's turned the internet into a cluster fuck of consent forms.

@cervantes01 well put in a complaint then, on most Dutch sites im not having this, its mostly US sites doing this for me.

It's not like the EU is famous for "listening."

@Codex404 hm yeah but using a cookie, even if it's for the session only, to store that the user has declined cookie usage looks like asking for legal trouble.

@Fast-Nop no, you only need to ask for permission for cookies that is not needed for letting your site work. Sign in cookies for example are always allowed just like the settings cookie.

Tracking cookies are not allowed, shoppingcart cookies are allowed.
