not possible - its bluetooth. Yes, bluetooth without DH validation* is suspectible to compromise during the initial pairing, but once paired, security is solid.

And a MITM intefering with pairing would make your phone lose the connnection when you aren't in range of the MITM anymore. So you would repair then, thus the MITM would be "kicked out"

*DH validation means both devices show a code on its display, which is calculated out from an encryption key from a DH exchange. If codes don't match, you either are attempting to pair with a MITM or a device which isn't yours.
