Actually ... depending on the underlying wet ware that might be a good thing? :D

Depends, attention span and problem solving are "single threaded" as they occur solely on the front lobe and "multitasking" operations like mathematics, comprehension and motor skills have a negative impact on the tasks involved (i.e driving and phone calls).

But, if you account all the functions your brain does it's truly an impressive "multi-core" machine, it is responsible of constant I/O feeds (the senses) and almost real time spacial perception to model reality, critical body functions like temperature regulation, real time diagnostics & control system (nervous system), complex task scheduling and process monitoring (sleep, hunger, etc) and high level complex cognitive functions like speech, creativity, consciousness, etc. all at the same time!

Ps. I know it's a joke but I saw the opportunity to dig into an interesting thought.

Single threaded with asynchronous nonblocking IO.

Mine is single-core multi-threaded with preemptive online scheduling, but priorities and deadlines are often getting mixed up.

@RantSomeWhere How do I recompile my kernel?

    Sometimes it is half threaded
