I stopped using Facebook for it's intended purpose since highschool, the only reason I have an account these days is because employers like to browse your "social life" more than your crazy ex does.

@JKyll Same here.. nowadays I'm mostly using devRant for that purpose since I mostly (shit)post about technology anyway. Facebook on the other hand clearly has long gone down the shitter. Even their API is trash. Currently I only keep up with it to maintain the pages I manage there. But even that they managed to fuck up.. quite impressive, and not in a good way.

@JKyll sure, because those useless HR cunts can disguise chatting on FB as "background research". However, if the gatekeepers of a company are stupid suckers, then what kind of people will they let in, and I wouldn't want to work there anyway.

You should've explained for us non Facebookers what makes the post disappear, doesn't make much sense looking at the screenshot itself.

@JoshBent making it parse a link preview, making it transition from small amount of larger text to smaller text on longer posts (no idea why that's a feature to begin with, encourages short dribble I guess), I think even uploading a picture triggers this "feature". I had to go to the mobile website and publish my post from there.
