I despise services like WhoisGuard; I search for the information of a domain because I wish to inquire about something, not because I wish to spam the bloke.

And I love them because random people on the internet don't really need to find out my living address just because I run a website.

You can search for the contact info on the website itself. If people don't publish any, then they don't want to be contacted, it's that easy.
