I had the same problem once. It turned out the update was so broken it made Windows 10 incompatible with my PC, so even after downloading a new ISO from MS and doing a fresh install it still started the bluescreen train within 24 hours.

The only solution was to use Windows 7 for a few months until MS fixed the bug.

And that's one of the reasons I'm gonna switch completely to Linux when it breaks again. I don't even care about gaming support anymore.

@deadlyRants "Release" seems to be the new "Beta" when it comes to Microsoft (and a lot of others unfortunately).

@deadlyRants Same here... PC is brand new too :( I guess I'll do a fresh install of a different windows version as soon as I get the license..

In other news, gaming on Linux is becoming more and more appealing!

@deadlyRants At least Linux has Proton now so gaming is a lot better

Man, I wish I got windows 10 errors. My debugging skills for windows went down since I don't get any. I forgot how to get to safe mode and the advanced boot thingy.

I'm thinking my computer is 110% compatible with windows 10... But I do see other win 10 pcs that have issues, especially at work. I still believe windows bsods (not caused by software/driver) are mainly hardware problems.

This is the exact reason why I upgrade regularly. Easier to rollback one small update instead of a fuck-tons of fuck ups.

@DrPitLazarus "I forgot how to get to safe mode and the advanced boot thingy."

The advanced boot thingy won't help you when the update deleted all partitions to a point they're not recoverable. Happened to me with the Anniversary Update.

"I'm thinking my computer is 110% compatible with windows 10"

I thought that too once. Not a single issue since Windows XP. Then the Anniversary Update arrived and since then I have to reinstall at least every few months at my PC or one of my relatives.

"I still believe windows bsods (not caused by software/driver) are mainly hardware problems."

The last time I got a BSOD due to hardware issues was on Windows XP. Then no bluescreen until Windows 10 came and basically murdered itself with updates. So at least in my case the BSODs are mainly Microsoft problems.
