cursee171596yI don't understand the rant 🤔
Did OP got yell at or did he yell at other? Is OP angry at themselves or angry at others? 🤔 -
ltlian21966yI had a brief job at a theater as just a handyman/janitor/technician, helping carry stuff and occasionally managing mundane lights and audio things during performances.
The giant mixer table was fairly slanted, as they tend to be. People kept leaving paper cups of coffee on them, resting them along notches so they wouldn't slide off.
I was actually unironically disappointed that there never was an accident just so that we could get it over with. Being the new guy I couldn't make a fuss about it, and bringing it up usually ended with "na is coo". It was nerve wracking. -
To be honest I am one of these people with the open drinks but I never spill them.

1. If near other people's hardware, observe the strictest of rules. No drinks or food, no display touching, and wear forensic nitrile gloves if they consent to mouse touching.
2. If it's your own hardware, no one gets to tell you what to do. I use my MacBook daily as a sandwich plate, I cut baguettes with a breadknife on its soft unibody aluminium skin, I drizzle honey over it's mousepad. If I spill my coffee into my keyboard, I grab my multimeter & soldering iron. Fuck you, it's mine to abuse. -
@woodworks The only proper way to ruin a MacBook is to shove copious amounts of cocaine into the butterfly switches, snort it out, nosebleed all over the keyboard, then walk into the apple store for a warranty replacement.

@bittersweet some of the people I've met have some mysterious white stains on their keyboard, and really crusty butterfly switches.
@irene hence the term fapbook 😂
I always get yelled at when I make a big deal of having tons of open drinks near expensive hardware, and it gets on my fucking nerves because it is almost always followed by a spill and irreversible damage.
Is it really that difficult to place beverages away from the electronics or maybe close the water bottle after taking a drink?
