Just got a new internet connection with a Fritzbox which has a big led "WiFi" on it, but doesn't send WiFi nor has an option in their config to enable such. Apparently they sell "another" router (which is exactly the same) for 2,99€ per month with WiFi. Seems like they disabled the WiFi if you don't pay.... Hmmmmmmmm.

Let's see how easy it is to break it.

@iOSDev so when did you compare those prices the last time?:p
@kolaente you were forced to use the 1&1 router right? Otherwise I wouldve suggested to buy your own router and run that

You should be able to flash a proper firmware on it.

@ThatPerlDeb well kind of, I had the option to pay a monthly cost and get a better router, but I didn't saw the point

@iOSDev in my case it's DSL, not mobile data. But yeah, the prices for mobile data suck.

@Npstr I know, I found out how to do it and did exactly that, and now it works like a charm 😁
