myss45286yWhy shame? Its not your fault that you're working on project that you don't have qualifications for.
Also the best way to learn is to build something from scratch - helps even more if its gonna be used later in real life, not like some example projects. -
@myss Because if I can't deliver, I'm not much use to the company... It'll end up being trial by fire, I'll just have to put in extra hours if things get complicated/go to shit
I've been considering the idea of doing something on my own, but I'm technically supposed to be following the tutorials, which contain info I kinda need to know so... I'll see what I can do Monday. For now, it's the weekend 😎 -
noms898606yClient and your manager is a son of a bitch motherfucker...
Send me his email I'll fuck him for you bro -
mojo20128146yWell if ur experienced in java/spring and smart, u could be productive in 2 weeks - depending on what ur job is.
But to be really able to understand the platform u need about 2 months.
U should definitely use experts.hybris.com and the hybris smart blog.
If u need help, drop me a line 😊 -
@mojo2012 Already been by experts.hybris.com xD very helpful, but yeah, Hybris is a handful, and I get it at a high level, but I wouldn't be able to write anything without the docs and other source code to cross reference... Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind!

@noms89 That's just the client being dumb, the architect is gonna talk to them and tell them we can't start until training is done. Manager is hopefully on my side too, he's a really nice dude

Three days into my job and the client is asking when we can start my project... Supposed to have two weeks training, and I don't even think that's enough to learn Hybris, so instead of being an angry rant I'm just gonna sit here and be a sad one :(
I can already feel the incoming shame. Shame. Shame...
