I just f*cking hate front-end. I don't care what it looks like as long as it's working how it should.

But your clients care. They want menus with woosh on.

Therefore we got a really good designer who's taking care of it. I have to give it a rude look but this is still kinda pissing me off.

Yea I am with you, but I have realised if it looks pretty silly clients sometimes look past the functional flaws... Which is really unethical in my opinion, but has worked in my favour before...

@Letmecode Totally agree with you! PrimeFaces is a UI framework for Java EE. They offer some components which are not included in JSF.

Back-end and front-end different skills. Good to have a partner that loves front-end.

Sadly true that customers appreciate visual side. Everything what you have done in backend is almost irrelevant if there isn't cat pic in front page.

@scionar 100% true. When we present new backend features at the company meeting the rest of the company is like 'meh'. Suddenly the main menu opens with a new CSS transition effect and everyone goes fucking nuts. This is so stupid.

@phiter companies need front end developers as much as back end. If you like to do both that's awesome. there are plenty of small companies that look for full stack web developers that can do graphics, front end and back end. The only issue here is would you want to be a Jack of all trades or master of one. Specialist usually earn more money
